A very warm welcome from Main Electrical Training.  We offer people throughout the UK the opportunity to completely re-train as an electrician, or to gain individual electrical qualifications, with a company that has at it's heart, true business ethics of honesty, integrity and value for money.

We have tried to put as much honest, and in-depth information on the site so please take the time to look at all the sections before considering your career change.

It does not matter where you are based in the UK. We can assist you. The future for all present and future students looks very bright. There is a shortage of skilled labour in the UK and many overseas countries. With the Government committed to building 3 million new homes by 2020 and other key projects there is going to be no shortage of work for dedicated tradesmen.

Main Electrical Training was established in 2006. We have a small but dedicated team hence we can offer highly competitive pricing as we do not have the same overhead as a larger company. This ensures those looking tor  an electrical career change, as well as Electrical Contracting Companies (or those that have electricians within their workforce) can benefit with lower prices and a higher level of customer service. In addition, we have an open door policy through the management structure. We do not hide behind a desk, nor some mundane enquiry form who's sole purpose is to obtain your phone number and then get a salesman into your house or business. We freely publish throughout the website our phone number so you can speak to us.

I am pleased to announce the opening of a further Training centre in the Midlands near to Burton on Trent from where we can offer selected City and Guilds courses to electrical contracting companies throughout the Midlands region. We offer City and Guilds 2382, 2377, 2392 courses from Burton and will be delivering 2391 courses later in 2009.

Our main Training centre is located just outside Watford, North London with easy access off the motorway network as well as railway and underground services close by. We offer the full range of courses from this centre. You are more than welcome by prior appointment to be shown around by a member of the team. Please call to arrange your visit.

From May 2009 - we offer newly enrolled students full online electrician training vidoes of approximately 20 hours broken into itemised lessons. A great way to learn.

Shortly we intend to work on the training manuals to implement e-learning into the course syllabus. This will make it more interactive and interesting and will compliment the existing study via traditional text books and manuals.

Our Student Forum has many active Students who share experiences with each other. In addtion we regularly update the resource with technical features and have a bit of fun as well with clips / photographs of "how not to do things" in this industry!

As in previous years, 2009 has been a great year for our Students with an exceptionally high standard of pass marks at both of our training centres. This is a credit to all of our Tutors. 

Our Student and Tutor resources have been significantly updated throughout 2009. Further training resources are being built for both centres, particularly for delivering 2392 and 2391 courses. I also plan to expand the Watford training centre in the spring of 2010 (business permitting) to larger premises so we can offer more classes and add more training bays. Watch this space.

Our prices are widely acknowledged to be amongst the most competitive in the industry for both new entrants as well as experienced tradesmen. For those looking to change career we're usually cheaper than our main competitors. If we can offer you substantial savings from others, why pay more?

For electrical contracting companies we offer trade discounts off our published price list if you provide us with regular business (minimum 3 delegates). In addition to our Watford and Midlands training centres we can also come to your premises throughout the UK for delivering the City and Guilds 2382 17th Edition wiring regulations( minimum 5/6 delegates) You may also book some of our courses securely online so we're open 24/7.
