City & Guilds 2377-20 PAT Testing Training

This PAT testing course from City and Guilds teaches learners through the combined use of theoretical elements and practical learning.  As a course that covers all the required aspects to competently PAT test, this 2377-20 course covers the following subjects:

• Hazards of electricity
• Classification of appliances
• Dangers
• Legal requirements
• IEE Code of Practice
• Recording results
• Using a PAT tester

Learners will also learn basic PAT testing work and record keeping in order to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations.

PAT Testing Training Course 2377-20 Teesside Exam

This PAT Testing course is assessed by a 30 question online exam. The test is open book and lasts an hour.

Qualification Gained

Candidates who successfully pass the examination will receive a City and Guilds In-service Inspection and testing of Electrical Equipment – 2377-20 certificate  and a certificate of attendance.

Those who do not pass the examination only receive a certificate of attendance.

Course Duration

This PAT Testing course takes place over the course of one day from 9am until 5pm.

Course Location

The course takes place at the Stockton-On-Tees Training Centre in Teesside.

What are the pre-requisites for the 2377-20?

The City and Guilds 2377-20 PAT Testing training course does not require any previous qualifications, however it is expected that candidates have some basic PAT Testing knowledge and any previous electrical training would be advantageous.

Candidates taking this qualification are expected to be familiar with electrical systems and the hazards of electricity in order to successfully complete it.
