It is the duty of every employer to ensure that all electrical equipment presents no danger to employees or visitors. This City and Guilds course is designed for electrical engineers who have a responsibility for the maintenance and testing of electrical equipment. It is also ideal for people who wish to offer their services to letting agents / landlords who ideally should have their equipment for their tenants inspected and passed by a qualified person.

This course is held at our Watford training centre, ideally located for London and the Home Counties or Burton on Trent for the Midlands.

PAT Testing Course Content:

Fixed electrical installations
The Electrical Test Procedures for In Service Testing
Test instruments
Types of Inspection and Testing
Formal visual inspection

This one day course includes the online multiple choice examination. You will know your results the same day.

It is a requirement of the PAT testing course that you have the following technical text book - The IEE Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment 3rd Edition. This book is not included in the course fee but can be purchased from ourselves for £35.00.

We strongly recommend that all delegates thoroughly read this book beforehand to give themselves the best chance of passing the examination first time.
