The City and Guilds 2392-10 course provides learners with all the necessary training to allow successful candidates to carry out inspection and testing of newly installed electrical circuits. Including both classroom theory and practical workshop based training, learning includes the following topics:
The Inspection and Testing course concludes with a 50 question exam and a practical assessment which takes approximately two hours.
Both the exam and practical assessment must be passed to successfully pass this course.
Successful learners who pass both assessments will achieve a City and Guilds certificate and a certificate of attendance.
Learners who do not reach the required standard will only receive a certificate of attendance.
The 2392 Inspection and Testing course is five days between the hours of 9am-5pm.
The City and Guilds 2392-10 course is held at the Watford training centre close to London, the M25 and the Underground system.
This qualification is aimed at those who would like to progress into Inspection, Testing and Certification of Domestic Electrical Installations.
It has been designed for those with pre-existing knowledge or who have no formal qualifications but have been working in the industry.
This 2392-10 London course was designed by City and Guilds in order to allow people to perform inspection and testing in low voltage single phase domestic premises. This was due to the high level of failure rates on the highly intensive 2391-10 training course.
Learners wishing to undertake this course do not need any qualifications to gain entry. Although to successfully pass this qualification, candidates must have a very good knowledge of electricity and have a minimum of 12 months experience in electrical installation work.
Only those over the age of 18 years are able to gain entry to this course.
Most learners go on to sitting the City & Guilds 2391-10 course after gaining this qualification.
Learners who successfully complete the City and Guilds Certification in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification 2392-10 electrical training course and a Part P qualification can progress on to the following electrical training courses:
Learners are required to bring a current copy of BS 7671 2008 - IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and a copy of Guidance Note 3 when attending this London Inspection and Testing course.
