• Identify relevant approved documents
• Indentify the role of Building Control Services

Learners will study the methods of compliance for the seven parts of the Building Regulations that are most relevant to electrical installations in dwellings.

This City and Guilds course concludes with a 20 question, multiple choice online examination.

Successful learners will achieve a City and Guilds 2393-10 Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Domestic Dwellings certificate and a certificate of attendance.

Learners are required to have a knowledge of installations in the domestic electrical sector and should be working in this environment. Ideally you will hold a City and Guilds 2360 Part 1 or a City and Guilds 2330 level 2 qualification.

• City and Guilds 2382-10 Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671 (2008) 17th Edition.
• City and Guilds 2392-10 Level 2 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification.

You will also be able to apply to one of the competent person schemes running throughout England and Wales.
