We presently have a vacancy for an Electrical Tutor

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year teaching experience in the electrician training field either College or Private company.

Considerable experience on the tools prior to taking up a teaching career.

Professional, presentable, motivated, friendly, patient and approachable.

Qualifications - a traditional apprenticeship route into the industry is preferred.

Ideally you will have passed the following awards.

City and Guilds 2330 Level 2 and Level 3 or 2360 or similar
City and Guilds 2382
City and Guilds 2377-002 and 2377-001.
City and Guilds 2392-10 - if not you must have passed City and Guilds 2391-10
City and Guilds 2391-10
City and Guilds 2393 or a working knowledge.

EAL DISQ Level 2 award.

You must have taught the City and Guilds subjects excluding 2393 which is fairly new. The EAL DISQ is not essential as if you've taught 2330 or 2360 and have passed 2392 / 2391 this subject matter will be straightforward.

A1 or V1 assessor certificate or be working towards it at college.

A professional Teaching award is preferred although not essential.

You must have your own course delivery notes in prepared folders for most subjects, and to have these available for inspection prior to taking up any post.

Capable of demonstrating and assisting novices and tradesmen with hands on practical / testing exercises.

Highly motivated, naturally you will enjoy teaching and obtain job satisfaction from seeing your class succeed.

IT literate and familiar with City and Guilds ESM / GOLA examination operations.

We have two centres, Watford and Burton on Trent.

The position carries a high degree of responsibility to protect our reputation for delivering high quality training.

References required.

Salary is negotiable upon experience.

Vacancies for qualified and trainee electricians in the London/Greater London area

 A London based organisation is currently looking for qualified electricians to join their team. They will also consider taking on people who are currently training to become electricians who have additional handyman skills of any type. As they operate all over the London area, within the M25, a pre-requisite is that you should have a motorcycle licence, or will complete a CBT course prior to joining. The company provides uniform, tools, mobile phones and a competitive salary.
