All time served electricians who have previously completed the 16th Edition Regulations, only need to complete the 17th Edition update course which has been specially designed for this purpose.
This 2382-20 London course can be taken instead of the full 2382-10 17th Edition London course. The update course is held at the training centre in Watford close to London.

City & Guilds 17th Edition 2382-20 Electrical Training Course (Update)
The City and Guilds 2382-20 17th Edition update course is a theory based classroom only course. Learners should note that there are no practical aspects to this particular course.
As a theory course, it covers the amendments to the BS76722008 Regulations for electrical installations.
If you have previously completed the City and Guilds 16th Edition Certification BS7671 after June 2001, this 17th Edition update course London will improve your knowledge to the current standards.
London 2382-20 17th Edition Exam
The final examination for the 17th Edition update London is through an open book, one hour long exam which is taken online in the form of a 30 question, multiple choice test and is taken on the second day of the course.
Qualification Gained

- City & Guilds - 2330-07 or 2330-08 Level 3 in Installation (Buildings & Structures) or Maintenance
- City & Guilds - 2351 Knowledge of Electrical Installation Engineering Certificate (completed as part of an Advanced Apprenticeship from January 2004 onwards)
- City & Guilds - 2360 Level 3 in electrical Installation Part 2. Certification post January 2004
- City & Guilds - 2381 16th Edition. Certification BS 7671 post June 2001
- All learners must provide proof of holding one of these qualifications before acceptance can be granted on the 17th Edition Update Course, London
What can I do after this course?
All those learners who complete this course successfully and pass the examination will be able to consider taking one of the following qualifications:
- City and Guilds 2391-10 Level Three Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
- City and Guilds 2392-10 Level two Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification
